Logistics Specialist – Buyer (Hybrid)

This role includes the buying activity for various Product Families that are supplied and shipped globally from other Siemens Affiliates around the world. The Supply Chain is set up as a drop ship business, where the majority of orders for the US Region are processed and shipped directly from the suppliers to the end customer. This end-to-end process from customer order to on-site delivery is part of the responsibility of this role and is closely monitored by delivery performance metrics. This position closely involves the collaboration between customer support and the factories to support the demands from the Market. This is a fast-paced environment, requiring multi-tasking, customer focus and process orientation.

We are looking for a Buyer. This position will be based at Harleysville, PA. Primarily remote with on-site team meetings.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Daily execution and review of the delivery report to ensure timely confirmation of orders.

  • Daily creation of purchase orders for all open requirements.

  • Closely work with Customer Support and Channel Partners on change orders and escalations.

  • Weekly Supplier meetings to discuss open orders and supply chain impacts.

  • Actively participate in regular Portfolio Performance and Sales & Operations Meetings to review the forecasts for various products.

  • Monitor and support local inventory positions to ensure on time delivery.

  • Ensure proper vendor invoicing and closure of backlog.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Buyer

  • Sufficient multi-tasker

  • Able to convey pertinent business information across departments outside of business scope.

  • Able to work in large team and virtual environments

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP knowledge

  • Salesforce or equivalent CRM tool knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management or another related field

  • The pay range for this position is $52,990 - $90,840 . The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
