Slot Technician

HOURS: 1 FULL TIME POSITION; MUST BE FLEXIBLE TO WORK ALL SHIFTS, WEEKENDS & HOLIDAYS. *WAGE: *BASED ON EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide superior customer service to our customers, internal/external alike.
  • Meet with fellow Slot Technicians to address problems with machines.
  • Assist in ensuring machine integrity when jackpots occur and at other times as requested.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, and proper prevention maintenance of all electric slot machines and connected systems in accordance with gaming regulations.
  • Maintain and repair signage (i.e. bulbs, fluorescents, glass, etc.)
  • Assist in overseeing the safe and effective operation of shop equipment including hand tools, soldering tools, power tools, and electronic test equipment.
  • Test slot machines, and document, whenever variances occur.
  • Handle disputes and notify the proper personnel of any unusual customer activity.
  • Oversee, verify, and approve slot machine payouts.
  • Verify all machine overrides.
  • Void jackpots, payouts, and fills correctly when required.
  • Order and return/exchange parts when needed.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory of parts for machines and/or equipment.
  • Set up slot tournaments when needed.
  • Sign-out slot keys at beginning of shift and sign back in at shifts' end.
  • Call Surveillance, and log at Cage, any tips received.
  • Assist in moves, set ups, and removal of slot machines according to procedures.
  • Attend all Slot Department meetings and/or training sessions.
  • Attend all pertinent training seminars and conferences where travel may be required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School Diploma or GED. Electronics experience and/or degree preferred. Experience: *Minimum 3 years experience in related field and/or training. Must have proven computer skills in Microsoft Windows. *Knowledge: *Knowledge and understanding of machine tilt codes and how to resolve them and understanding of Oasis System and it's equipment. Knowledge and understanding of company and departmental policies and procedures as well as the M.I.C.S. Knowledge of electronic troubleshooting and proper use of electronic test equipment (such as DVOM, oscilloscope, isolation power supplies, etc.) Knowledge and basic understanding of serial communications systems. *Skills and Abilities: Must have a professional, friendly and courteous demeanor; thereby providing the customers with an excellent gaming experience. Must be able to communication well in both a verbal and written manner. Must be safety oriented with high voltage equipment. Must be team oriented with a pitch-in, can-do attitude. Must have the ability to work strategically and collaboratively, as well as individually. Must have excellent mathematical skills and the ability to multi-task and react to changing priorities. Must be able to work in a high stress environment and to make sound decisions and judgment calls. Must be flexible in the days and hours available for work.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED: Must be efficient with general office equipment such as; computer, printers (various types), copy machine, fax machine, hand and power tools, electronic equipment and telephone/paging system (including messaging).
