DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Administrative Officer 1, you will participate in the development of policies and procedures for evaluating and refining administrative operations, assessing existing protocols, implementing and overseeing more efficient business mechanisms, and ensuring organized processing of contractual documents with multiple funding streams.  This position also involves budgetary duties to include maintaining and submitting accurate administrative and fiscal information to the Budget Office, Division of Contracts, Bureau staff, Comptroller, contractors, grantees, and vendors.  You will maintain records of the financial status of state and federal funds and analyze expenditure patterns and projections for budgetary purposes. Within this role, you will also serve as the contract administrator responsible for providing technical consultation to project officers in the preparation of contracts, grants, request for proposals, invitation to bid, and more.  You will participate in meetings with the Division of Contracts, Office of Legal Counsel, and the Comptroller's Office to discuss contract and grant protocols and procedures and provide input on the development of new contracts and grants and update those that already exist.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time.  In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.  If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and bachelor's degree; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
