DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Administrative Officer 1, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and consistency of the data within Workers' Compensation Automation and Information System (WCAIS) which is used by the Bureau of Workers' Compensation, the Workers' Compensation Office of Adjudication, and the Workers' Compensation Appeal Board, as well as 47,000 registered users.  This is a multi-faceted professional position which performs supervisory responsibilities such as participating in the selection and appointment of staff, training staff, evaluating performance, managing team operations, staffing levels, approving and disapproving leave, and initiating disciplinary actions if necessary.

Specific duties include reviewing data quality incidents received, researching issues to determine the appropriate resolution, and contacting the appropriate internal or external party if needed to obtain or validate information.  You will collaborate with staff to design and implement enhancements to WCAIS and DQ processes and facilitate meetings related to DQ updates, issues, and initiatives.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time.  In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.  If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and bachelor's degree; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
