Reference #: 4551907 THE POSITION The Pennsylvania Labor Relations Board is seeking an experienced Attorney 2 for our Harrisburg Central Office. Under the general supervision of the Chief Counsel and Deputy Chief Counsel of the Pennsylvania Labor Relations Board, the Attorney 2 you will be responsible for all phases of legal work of the Board under the Pennsylvania Labor Relations Act, the Public Employee Relations Act, Act 111 of 1968, and Act 88 of 1992. DESCRIPTION OF WORK The incumbent within this role prepares briefs, records, pleadings, memoranda, etc., for submission to court in cases on appeal from the Pennsylvania Labor Relations Board (PLRB), decisions or enforcement of PLRB decisions. Independently represents the PLRB before courts of competent jurisdiction in court appeals from decisions and orders of the PLRB and represents the PLRB in original lawsuits where the PLRB is a party. You will have the opportunity to work with substantial independence in preparing recommended final orders for consideration by the PLRB after oral argument or after review of exceptions and briefs in cases involving complex areas of labor laws. You will review proposed decisions of PLRB Hearing Examiners to which exceptions have been filed and recommend to the PLRB whether to hear oral argument.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment. Work hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of professional legal experience and graduation from an accredited school of law; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Post Employment Requirement: Applicants must be certified for admission to the Bar of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and must maintain membership on a continuous basis during employment.
