Reference #: 4520647 THE POSITION The clerical position within the Member Demographic Unit (MDU) is responsible for communicating and interacting with colleagues, members, affiliates, and employers of PSERS.

The individual assigned to this position will assist MDU in reviewing and cleansing information within the V3 system. Staff will assist other bureaus within PSERS when assigned by the supervisor. The individual in this position will work with Microsoft products in tracking data and generating correspondence to members of the system. The individual is responsible for updating member and employer demographic information using the V3 systems and other applications through system defined processes, such as V3 Workflow and database. The individual in this position is also responsible for maintaining the member's designated affiliate through the Nomination of Beneficiary process. The individual in this position will also contact members and employers for information when required to do so.

The individual in this position exercises a degree of independence, initiative, and judgment in the completion of all assignments.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK Makes independent decisions while reviewing, verifying, and determining the necessary action needed to correct or change the member's personal information (i.e. name including prefix, first, middle, last, and suffix; date of birth; gender; address including residence, correspondence, and payroll). The determination of the action will be dependent upon the form of notification, information received, the determination of the necessary proof documentation, and application of this data to business rules and procedures.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Telework: Teleworking is optional for this position with an occasional need to report to the Harrisburg office. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (commonwealth title); or

One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or

An equivalent combination of experience and training.
