American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the Global leader in the Commercial Payments Solutions space and subsequently continues to be an exciting and fast-growing segment. The Corporate Program Product Development team (CPPD) is a fast-paced, entrepreneurial team leading digital innovation at American Express. We are responsible for deepening Client and Card Member engagement through our digital B2B products. The team’s mission is to dramatically increase adoption and frequency of usage through a combination of in-depth insights, superior user experience and compelling features and functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading a high performing team and ensuring a close collaboration & partnership with regional & global stakeholders

  • Enable flawless delivery for client engagements on regular reporting and conduct consultative program reviews to benchmark against key KPIs

  • Drive process improvements to improve key business metrics such as increased accuracy and automation for efficiencies

  • Effectively communicate progress and timeliness at the executive level across time zones and regions

  • Create strong culture of generating useful insights from qualitative and quantitative data coming from different sources like American Express data, travel management data and client supplier data

  • Partner with functional leaders, strategic business partners and senior leaders to assess and provide consulting solutions to fulfil business requirements

  • Ability to inspire the team to achieve exciting and ambitious goals for the team

  • Strong leaders with relentless focus on team, customer/partner service, and ability to move products and capabilities from concept to reality

Functional and Technical Skills/Capabilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong client/partner management skills

  • Demonstrates the ability to prioritize in high pressure situations

  • An optimistic and growth mindset with a tremendous will to win

  • Should be able to function with minimum supervision with high sense of ownership

  • Should be comfortable with flexible shift timings to support the International business

  • Develop automated solutions and wireframes to bring efficiencies to redundant activities and create scale

  • Use industry trends and insights to identify product and process improvement

Past Experience:

  • Experience in large data processing and handling

  • Strong communication skills, able to explain complex algorithm and results to business partners in simple terms

  • Extensive experience in insights generation, presentation, and preparing client facing fact pack

  • Ability to work in a dynamic, cross-functional environment, with a strong attention to detail

  • Exceptional strategic and analytical thinking

  • Project Management experience

  • Leadership Outcomes: Put enterprise thinking first connect the role's agenda to enterprise priorities and balance the needs of customers, partners, colleagues

  • Lead with an external perspective challenge status quo and explore additional data sources

  • Exposure to sales or product management function would be of advantage

Academic Background & Experience:

  • 8 years of proven experience with a Bachelor or Master degree (e.g., Bachelors in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Econometrics, Mathematics, Operations Research)
