WASP, an international leader in advanced aerospace switches is currently recruiting for a Demand planner. An exciting opportunity for someone with planning experience who thrives in a challenging environment. The post holder will support the SIOP Planner in delivering a comprehensive and professional service to all customers in relation to Production Planning and Material control.

Purpose of the Job:This is a hands-on role where you will cover areas such as production, scheduling, planning, customer demand and forecasts on a day-to-day basis. Working closely with the SIOP Planner and the production supervisor to ensure goods are available to meet customer demand.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
•Review/analyse MRP output reports to determine production needs of the business•Review new contract orders•Plan and produce the live WIP orders to be issued to the shop floor•Collect Supply Capability information to understand capacity and material constraints•Review upcoming WIP orders and liaise with purchasing on part demand•Review and confirm customer orders inside of the customer portal•Attend meetings to discuss progress of projects, agree budgets, processes, and schedules•Consult with the sales team on any potential changes to the customers’ orders
Sometimes Support the Production office by•Support other production tasks in line with the company Lead of standard work
Key Skills/ Experiences: •Previous experience in a Production planning support role•Demonstrated ‘initiative-taker’ who is comfortable working either individually or as part of a team with multiple internal and external stakeholders•Excellent attention to detail•Focused and the ability to build strong relationships•PC literate (Microsoft Office and specific databases)•Self-driven, action-oriented mindset with a positive “can do” outlook•Ability to prioritise key tasks on a daily basis•IoSCM would be advantageous
