The location in Hawesville, (Kentucky, United States), is seeking talent to fill the position of Warehouse Supervisor. This job is full-time permanent. Warehouse and Logistics Supervisor Position Description: The Hawesville Mill is looking for a motivated and experienced Warehouse and Logistics Supervisor, with great communication skills and familiarity with shipping to join our team! This position reports to the Logistics Superintendent in FPM. This salaried exempt position provides support for all truck and rail outbound paper shipments.This position will also participate in making process improvements and work on multiple projects including activities to reduce overall transportation and inventory costs to Domtar. Strong leader that supports goals of Fine Paper Mill department Commitment to open communication Actively engaging workforce to collaborate for continuous improvement and business results Represents Domtar with honesty and integrity in all matters, including safety policy and PPE compliance Assigning, reviewing, and planning work for crews and maintenance support Resolving union disagreement and grievances at the first level Set expectations, manage crew and individual performance, and implement plans to continually improved performance: Conduct performance evaluations and develop improvement plans for hourly employees; utilize both positive reinforcement as well as disciplinary action to manage performance; maintain positive, proactive culture and healthy working relationships within crew Develop and manage training of the hourly team including new employee orientation to the department Support Crew Training and priorities based on the DAWS requirements and needs of the crew skill sets. A person dedication to working safely, including participation in safety audits. Support physical inventory audits, costing, shipping, and inventory reports as needed. Back up for Senior Production Analyst Oversee and monitor pulp inventory levels at Watco & TDC Day to Day Department maintenance issues Execution of finalized shipments from inventory analyst Coordinate day to day work needed to be done by loaders Shipping hourly schedules, vacation tracking, and call-offs Work with H2 planner on RDC dock maintenance Disciplinary actions POC between shipping and operations supervisors Execution of cycle counting Daily/Maintenance related PR's W/O writing, SWP, and contractor management Crew meetings Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 5 years' experience in Logistics/Transportation. If no degree, must have at least 2+ years of experience in a paper manufacturing facility. Basic PC skills using Microsoft Office Suite Ability to multi-task, have time management skills and work in a fast-paced environment Ability to work with multiple internal and external customers/suppliers Excellent interpersonal, team, communication and listening skills Experience working in a Process Safety Management environment within a leadership position preferred but not required. Able to climb steps & ladders, open valves, lift & carry equipment; wear respirators and gas masks, and required to enter confined workspaces when needed. Able to work in an environment with paper dust, heat, dirt, grease, chemicals, noise, and other industrial climates, both normal and abnormal/adverse weather conditions. Ability to function independently with minimal supervision and able to meet demands of a 24/7 operation Basic proficiencies in Microsoft Office Ability to utilize Hourly Time (payroll) software and scheduling. Preferred Qualifications: Associate degree in Logistics Management, Operations Management, Transportation, or related field with a minimum of 3 years' experience in Logistics/Production. SAP experience Familiarity/Experience using business analytics and inventory analysis/trending Familiarity/Experience using online load management systems such as TMS Experience with shipping via CSX If selected for further consideration, candidates must successfully complete aptitude testing, interview(s), background investigation, and references verification.
