Boeing's Finance Shared Services, Government Estimating: Proposal Development division is seeking a Senior Estimating and Pricing Specialist as a formal Team Lead to join our team in Hazelwood, MO .

This role involves working with both government and commercial contracts, supporting substantial business acquisitions. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, capable of managing assignments proactively, and excels in cross-functional coordination and communication.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Coaching and mentoring junior colleagues, assigning work, completing one-on-one meetings and training new employees in the department

  • Leading the development of complex estimates and prices from complex technical requirements through the design, build and support stages of the program

  • Coordinating and interfacing with Contracts & Pricing, Estimating, Supply Chain (SC), Contracting and Integration, Engineering and other functional organizations to support and analyze the material/supplier requirements and estimate supplier costs for budgetary, Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM), and formal Boeing proposals in both TINA-compliant and TINA-exempt (e.g., Direct Commercial Sale) environments

  • Leading compliance activities, policy and procedure development, deployment of new systems/tools, training development/delivery and internal audits

  • Developing and giving presentations for estimating reviews/approvals

  • Perform both Material PBOM and Labor BOE & Pricing peer and management reviews within the organizational DOA guidelines

  • Acts as management delegate when required

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher

  • 5+ years of experience in a business-related function (including but not limited to: Finance, Contracts, Estimating, Procurement Financial Analysis, Business Operations, Supplier Management)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 2 + years of experience with Government Proposal Process, and Boeing Estimating System Manual (BESM)

  • DFAR and FAR knowledge or experience

  • Experience managing multiple competing priorities

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

  • Experience collaborating across multi-functional teams

  • Experience preparing material or labor estimating packages

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.)

Summary pay range: $106,250- $143,750
