Meet the team

As SAP Procurement Product Team, our mission is to provide the world's leading cloud-based spend management solution, unifying the SAP Procurement portfolio across SAP S/HANA, SAP Ariba Applications & Business Network, and SAP Fieldglass. To strengthen further our team, we are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager

What you will do

  • Build a high performing, strong, agileteam

  • Coach and mentor teams, develop amazing talent

  • Motivate team members to be able to achieve their goals, and drive performance

  • Attract and nurture talents in the team

  • Engage in regular SAP Talks, identify opportunities, and provide regular feedback for performance

  • Align on strategic objectives within the organization and ensure its understanding and implementation

  • Own code quality (e.g. making sure code reviews happen), manage technical dependencies and responsible for good architecture of involved components of the scrum team

  • Inculcate and drive innovation culture among the teams

  • Promote actively team collaboration and solve the impediments of the team quickly

What you should bring

  • 12 years of experience, in which at least 2 years of people management experience

  • Excellent people management skills

  • Experience in product development (good to have: Procurement domain)

  • Strong hands-on experience in Cloud native solutions / architecture

  • Expert proficiency in Java, Spring Framework, Hibernate or Ul technologies Javascript, Angular

  • Understanding of microservices, event driven & CQRS architecture, RESTful APls

  • Experience in DevOps methodologies

  • Extensive exposure to domains such as Procurement, Materials Management (MM), Supply Chain Management (SCM), Logistics Execution (LE), Procurement

  • Adept in handling agile development methodologies and lean principle/techniques

  • Understanding of software development and maintenance processes

  • Constructive and open style of communication, Excellent verbal and written communication
