Signature Truck Systems, LLC Part Time Driver, CDL-A with Tanker & Hazmat in Houghton Lake, Michigan
This position is Part-Time at our Houghton Lake facility. Most runs are between Houghton Lake and Clio locations, with an occasional drop-off at blast facility. Normally just daily trips, but if a larger trip presents itself, the option to pick it up is usually available. No weekends! Pay is $20/hr.
Position Summary:
- Transport vehicles and parts between Clio and Houghton Lake Facilities
- Operate forklift and crane equipment to load/unload truck/trailer safely at all times
- Secures loads to ensure safe transport equipment per DOT regulations
- Maintains daily log book in compliance with Interstate Commerce Commission regulations
- Keeps track of receipts and submits required paperwork in a timely fashion
- Capable of driving, backing up semi-tractor and trailer
- Company-owned vehicle maintenance; pre- and post-trip inspections; report vehicle maintenance to Manager; keep vehicle clean inside & out
- Potential for delivery of vehicles to customer location
- Train customer on operation of vehicle upon delivery
- Assists with general labor needs including shop cleaning, empty trash cans, organization of yard inventory as needed when not driving
Skills & Experience:
- Commercial Driver's License, Class A with Hazmat and Tanker endorsement (or ability to obtain endorsements)
- DOT Certified
- Ability to work in all types of weather conditions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skill
Signature Truck Systems adheres to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Association's drug/alcohol free workplace. We conduct pre-employment drug screening which includes marijuana. We also conduct criminal background checks through Michigan State Police ICHAT system which also includes Sex Offender Registry, and Offender Tracking and Information System. Motor Vehicle Record is also pulled to verify qualification to drive for the company or customer vehicles.
