Position Summary
Processes customer payments and posts lower payment amounts for standard accounts.
Major Tasks and Responsibilities
Posts lower payment amounts for standard accounts and invoices customers accurately and efficiently.
Troubleshoots and communicates with customers if unable to balance or remittance advice is not received.
Collaborates with the accounts receivable department to resolve unidentified payments or missing remittances.
Verifies data and makes corrections when necessary to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with established procedures.
Interprets, adheres to, and implements specific customer requirements for payment allocation.
Works on initial processing of payments in the batch system.
Processes payments by accurately and efficiently encoding the correct account number to match received payments.
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
2+ years of payment processing or account reconciliation experience.
Basic data entry, mathematical, balancing, reconciliation, and customer service skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
Pay Rate: $18.14 - $20.81 per hour, based on experience
