Summary About the Position: US Army Cadet Command, HQS RMID detachment, Houston, TX Responsibilities Responsible for accomplishing a variety of office manager and support functions of the Officer Recruiting Detachment. Manage administrative office procedures that affect the orderly and efficient flow of work within the office such as travel assistance, civilian and military awards and evaluations, leave and time cards. Administer internal management plans, direction, and practices which require consideration and integration of specialized needs Evaluate procedures to recommend when changes to processes need to be made. Serve as the lead for maintaining the organization’s budget requests and tracking expenditures. Coordinate supply and service actions including hand receipts, credit card, and vehicle management. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work of this job. Specialized experience is defined as: work that involves processing a variety of human resources actions such as awards, timecards and/or travel assistance; monitoring data from automated systems to process supply orders while maintaining budgets; AND advising leadership on both practical and technical aspects of administrative functions to make recommendations to modify office procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and Management Manages and Organizes Information Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this position you may qualify if your education meets the definition below and is directly related to the position being filled: Masters or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B or J.D. OR Have a combination of experience and education as described above which, when combined, is equivalent to 100% of the qualification requirement.This education must have been obtained in an accredited business,secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.
