    Key responsibilities of the Compliance Payroll Specialist:

  • Certified Payroll Monitoring : Oversight of weekly certified payroll for clients and subcontractors to ensure compliance with labor laws.

  • Compliance with Labor and Wage Standards : Focus on prevailing wage laws and public contract requirements, working with internal and external stakeholders to develop monitoring plans and ensure compliance.

  • Audit and Risk Assessment : Conducting periodic audits and risk assessments related to payroll and compliance programs.

  • Training and Reporting : Developing training programs for stakeholders and ensuring proper documentation and reporting to relevant agencies.

  • Regulatory Updates : Staying informed on changes in labor laws and regulations that may impact company policies.

  • Software Utilization : Using tools like LCP Tracker to manage payroll documentation and compliance processes.

  • Correspondence and Follow-ups : Drafting corrective action letters and ensuring proper documentation with contractors.

    Minimum requirements of the Compliance Payroll Specialist:

  • Experience : At least three years of experience in labor compliance, particularly in Public Works Labor Compliance Programs or Project Labor Agreements.

  • Education : A bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field.

  • Specialized Knowledge : Understanding of prevailing wage enforcement, labor regulations, and employment practices in construction.

  • Technical Skills : Proficiency in Microsoft Office and compliance-related software like LCP Tracker.

  • Soft Skills : Strong analytical abilities, independent decision-making, and effective communication with diverse teams.
