Program Summary
The KBR UABOS Program provides comprehensive BASE OPERATING SUPPORT – INSTALLATION (BOS-I) services at Ankara, Air Base in Turkey. These services are delivered to support the 39th Air Base Wing, mission partners, and tenant units, encompassing a diverse range of personnel including transient, temporary duty (TDY), permanent party, and rotational personnel. The program ensures the seamless functioning of operations, maintenance, and support activities essential for the sustained mission readiness and operational effectiveness of UABOS and its associated units.
Job Summary
The UABOS (Turkey) Production Control and Electrical Systems Manager will oversee and coordinate requirements for Civil Engineering (CE) back shops composed of Material Procurement, Pavement and Grounds, Custodial Services, and Craftsman's IAW PAD 12-03. With general autonomy, this position is responsible for the administrative and operational leadership of a government services project or projects within program guidelines established by the UABOS Program Manager, Director of Civil Engineering, customer, and/or contract stipulations.
Roles and Responsibilities
Effectively manage manpower and resources to operate, maintain, inspect, repair, overhaul, install, construct, demolish, and logistically support real property (see AFI 32-9005), infrastructure systems, real property installed equipment (RPIE), Equipment Authorization Inventory Data/Document (EAID), and Non-Real Property Equipment/System.
Develop, oversee, manage, execute, and review the preventative maintenance program for all routine, redundant, recurring work involving RP, RPIE, or systems and other equipment maintained by CE IAW AFI 32-1001 and associated CE Playbook on the CE Portal, and work in the Operations Flight Facility Maintenance.
Coordination of activities between back shops, ensuring all necessary reviews and approvals are met.
Provide quality and cost-effective facility and infrastructure maintenance, heavy repair, material acquisition, and assistance to CE customers.
Operate and maintain site-wide electrical systems to meet the required operational rates IAW AFI 32-1001.
Schedule all outages to ensure the least amount of disruption to occupants.
Notify the Director of Civil Engineering and affected occupants of the expected downtime due to emergency outages.
Support special base activities with various services and equipment needed IAW PWS requirements.
Perform other duties as required.
Basic Qualifications
Must be a U.S. Citizen with a current U.S. Driver’s License (minimum “C” Class)
Must be fluent in English.
Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 12 months of remaining validity AND with at least 4 blank visa/stamp pages remaining.
Must possess driver's license with at least 6 months of remaining validity.
Must hold and active DoD Secret clearance or be able to obtain this clearance prior to deployment and must maintain such clearance for the duration of employment in this role.
Associates degree or higher in a related field.
Master Electrician.
8-10 years’ experience in maintenance and repair of facilities, low and high-voltage electrical infrastructure systems, and pavements and grounds operations.
3+ years' experience in supervision/management.
USAF installation level working knowledge.
NexGen IT working knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications
Active U.S Secret Clearance
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
Experience in power generation or related industry.
Advanced knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering .
Proficiency with computer-aided design (CAD) software.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Strong project management skills.
