Insight Global Certified Medical Assistant in Hunt Valley, Maryland

Job Description

Insight Global is searching for a Certified Medical Assistant to work in an occupational health clinic for a global company in Hunt Valley, MD. This clinic is only for internal employees of the company. The medical assistant will be responsible for pre-employment testing for employees, as well as attending to any injuries or illnesses. These responsibilities include but are not limited to, giving injections, vaccines, and flu shots to employees, performing drug and alcohol testing, scheduling appointments, triaging patients, entering information into the EMR system, and testing for vision/hearing. The medical assistant can expect to see 5-10 patients, per day, and they are required to hold a Medical Assistant certification, as well as active BLS and CPR certifications.

Skills and Requirements

- Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification

- 2+ years experience working as a CMA

- Phlebotomy experience (comfortable using needles and drawing blood for testing)

- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification

- High School Diploma - Phlebotomy Certification (AKA Certified Phlebotomy Tech - CPT)

- Experience working in an occupational health setting overseeing pre-employment screening, vaccinations, on the job injuries/illnesses, etc.

- Experience testing for hearing and vision in an occupational health setting

- Experience with pulmonary testing

- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Systems (McCormick uses Cority) null
