Teledyne is looking for a Government Property and Inventory Specialist that will administer inventory transactions, resolve inventory issues and pick materials to support production and program management needs. What you will be doing:

  • Coordinate Government Property control activities to ensure continual accountability

  • Maintain records and issue contractual reports concerning government-owned property

  • Ensure compliance with company policy and procedures, contractual and FAR/DFARS requirements

  • Identify Government property issues and implement potential practical and simple solutions Administer inventory transactions in accordance with company standards, plans and policies

  • Prepare internal and external reports, maintain auditable records pertaining to government property management

  • Provide knowledge of industry best practices and most current developments in inventory administration

  • Provide regular reporting to leadership on KPIs and inventory issues

  • Responsible for establishing and implementing short- and long-term department objectives consistent with organizational strategy

  • Support other department operations as needed

  • Participate in and support company self-assessment audits and coordinate all aspects of the analysis

  • Responsible for other assigned duties as required

What you bring to the table:

  • 8+ years of related experience managing government furnished equipment

  • Solid understanding of government property regulations

  • Familiarity with Federal Programs and Federal and Defense Acquisition Regulations

  • Working knowledge of inventory control best practices

  • Basic knowledge of ISO and/or AS9100

  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/6 Sigma/Kaizen

  • Ability to navigate and utilize Material Resource Planning (MRP) systems

  • Preferred experience with Deltek’s Costpoint Material Resource Planning (MRP) system

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Analytical and technical problem-solving skills

  • Strong customer service orientation and solid communicator

  • Good writing skills

  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment

  • Good planning, time management and organization skills
