TEKsystems Medical Biller in Hunt Valley, Maryland

Description:

  • Completes all nursing home pass through room and board billing.

  • Performs Medicaid eligibility, comprehensive review of patients residing in nursing facilities related to room and board billing.

  • Provides excellent customer service and collaboration with our nursing home partners.

  • Performs all inpatient unit room and board billing.

  • Performs eligibility of all payers as coverage in the department as necessary.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must have at least 1-2+ years of MEDICAID billing experience.

  • Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) billing background or hospice but not a must.

  • Must have strong excel skills, ability to pull data, run reports, manage data.

  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of medical billing, insurance and private pay.

  • Strong knowledge of all medical billing requirements for Medicare, Blue Cross, Medical Assistance, Commercial insurance, and HMO carriers or Medicaid.

  • Strong collection skills, including claims follow-up and revenue cycle practices.

  • Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding practices

  • Strong computer skills, including EMR knowledge and Microsoft Office.
