J12 Solutions, LLC Accounting Intern in Huntsville, Alabama
J12 Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accounting Intern to assist in government contract accounting. This role is ideal for a Junior or Senior in College Majoring in accounting to gain experience in government contracting.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and invoices for government contracts. Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes, including tracking payments and reconciling accounts. Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and cost analysis for projects. Perform other accounting-related tasks as needed to support the finance department. Assist program managers with budget development and financial planning. Assist with human resources, contract administration, and other tasks as needed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Currently majoring in accounting or a related field. Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for a security clearance. Must be located in the Huntsville, AL.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Experience with Unanet, Deltek Costpoint, QuickBooks, or similar accounting packages is a plus. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Interest in learning about government contract accounting and compliance. Minimum GPA of 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) preferred.
