deciBel Research has an immediate opening for a Software Engineer in Huntsville, AL.

Position Description:The successful candidate will support the GFC (GMD Fire Control) product on the GWS program. The primary responsibility will be to support the analysis and development of a containerized solution for the GFC product.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university.

Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience, a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of related experience not to exceed 5 years of experience
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Podman, Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with C++, Python, Ada or other Object-Oriented Development languages
• Strong Math background
• Familiarity with configuration management tools, i.e., Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, others
• Experience in build scripting, distributed systems, and containerized application development
• Familiar with Scripting and Automation / Tools Development
• Familiar with Linux operating systems
• Root cause analysis, ability to analyze large data log files
• Must be able to support an in-office / closed-area work environment full time

Special Skills Desired:

• Hands on experience with DoD integration processes and Agile/DevOps methodologies
• Strong GitHub background (repositories, branches, commits, pull requests), Bitbucket, Version Control and Repository management, Data/Configuration management
