The Senior Data Engineering Analyst, using technical and analytical skills, is responsible for supporting EIS Implementations on, not limiting to, ETL, support requests, troubleshooting and implementations – which are delivered on time and with utmost quality. Data Analysts must have ownership of complete analysis and implementation of an issue to its final solution, including creative problem solving and technical decision making.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Migration

  • Will be heavily involved in Mirth migrations to cloud(AWS)

  • Implementation

  • Completing file mapping based on layouts and requirements provided by Business Analysts/Project Managers; Writing business logic (in SQL or other languages as appropriate to the particular business intelligence technology) for transforming data into product specifications; running and interpreting quality checks against loaded data; spinning up the product front-end; completing quality testing and articulating potential issues back to the BA/PM

  • Production:

  • End-to-end management of the ongoing data load process, including monitoring of feeds and outreach when data is delayed; creating customized reports based on specifications provided by Business Analysts; Completing configuration, mapping, or logic changes as described and prioritized by BAs; Troubleshooting issues raised by BAs from root cause identification to resolution

  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

In all phases of the client life cycle, the Data Analyst is responsible for writing complex SQL queries to complete business requirements. He/she must have the ability to analyze and understand data to support decision making. He/she is also responsible for working on projects focused on continuous improvement to improve team’s effectiveness.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or any engineering

  • 5+ years of experience working with ETL & Data warehousing services

  • Experience with or an interest in learning to work with complex health care databases

  • Solid analytical and problem solving skills

  • Proven passion to work with lot of data in a challenging environment

  • Technical aptitude for learning new technologies

  • Intermediate to expert knowledge on Azure

  • Intermediate to expert knowledge on DataBricks

  • Knowledge on Relational Databases like Oracle, SQL Server, MYSQL

  • Knowledge on ETL tools MSBI (SSIS/SSRS/SSAS)

  • Knowledge on SQL and procedural scripting

  • Contribute to technical documentation of specifications and processes

  • Participate in the ongoing invention, testing and use of tools used by the team to improve processes and bring scale.

  • Intermediate skills using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft word

  • Highly analytical, curious and creative

  • Solid organization skills, very detail oriented, with careful attention to work processes

  • Ability to take ownership of responsibilities and follows through hand-offs to other groups

  • Competence with PCs and Windows Office applications

  • Ability to enjoy a fast paced environment and the opportunity to quickly learn new skills

  • Ability to work creatively and flexibly, both independently and as part of a team

  • Proven good written and oral communications skills

  • Ability to analyze user requests, define requirements, investigate and report conclusions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to query large data sets using SQL and query optimization skills

  • Working knowledge of health information systems

  • Clinical or medical data analysis highly preferred

  • Understanding of clinical processes and vocabulary
