Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Research & Development Technician to work in our Nuclear Science and Technology (NS&T) Research Operations department. Our team works a 9x80nschedule located out of our REC facility with every other Friday off. This position reports to the Senior Manager of the NS&T Research Operations department.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assemble one of a kind test assemblies, test stands and mockups of research tests and equipment.
  • Work with researchers to plan and test assemblies, with a focus on safety and failing safely.
  • Develop methods to measure and control experiments to obtain accurate data.

*Minimum Requirements: *

  • A minimum of 4-6 years relevant experience required in the following areas: o Required:Maintenanceand/or Operationsand/or Laboratory o Preferred: + fabrication and/or mechanical assembly (hand and handheld power tools) + electrical/ instrumentation & control (I&C) + research & development and/or laboratory experience + gloveboxes + radiological work + equipment/facility operations
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "L" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.

  • The pay range for this position is: Level 3 ($29.46 - $48.61) / Level 4 ($34.47 - $56.87). At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.

  • TDP: This is a testing designated position; you will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and periodic drug testing throughout the term of your employment.
