Job Summary To assure material is available for the assemblers/shop floor to meet schedule production start dates. Pulling and issuing parts for assembly. Restocking incoming material and handling cycle counts. Shipping customer and vendor orders. Essential Job Functions Working closely with assembly/shop floor to ensure material availability Replenishing point-of-use inventories in work cells, update shortage boards. Print & Release production orders, deliver to work cells. Print shipping report / pick list, coordinate daily shipments. Data Entry, production orders (material issue, completions, closings) Operation of electric lift truck Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently Requires accuracy in counting, checking and recording Receives and stores supplies and equipment Packs/crates shipments for customers and vendors Prepares inventory control slips Loading and unloading of trucks/trailers with a forklift, pallet jack or manually if necessary Physically picking customer orders from warehouse to fill orders (Using FIFO) Packing customer orders, while insuring accuracy, into cartons with best placement and cushioning so that items remain safe during their journey to the customer. Larger freight and foreign shipments require a carton contents breakdown to be written onto the pick list Processing picklists through the UPS and FedEx computers for service, tracking and shipping charges information Placing packing lists or required documentation on outgoing shipments Other duties as assigned Learning Period 1-3 months Competencies Must have strong communication (both written and verbal) skills Must have computer knowledge with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel SAP experience preferred Excellent organizational and problem solving skills Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Attention to detail is required Self-starter with a strong work ethic Must be able to interact between all levels of the organization Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently Requires accuracy in counting, checking and recording Education/Experience Requirements High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required Three (3) to five (5) years' related work experience in production and inventory control strongly preferred Previous work experience in production and inventory control is strongly preferred Must have strong communication (both written and verbal) skills Must have computer knowledge with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel Excellent organizational and problem solving skills Prior experience with bills of material and shop orders Working Conditions
