Position Summary:
The Biologist is responsible for helping develop innovative, game-changing therapies for the treatment of inflammatory, autoimmune, and fibrotic diseases and their associated complications using cell-based assays and molecular biology techniques with an emphasis on Imaging and Microscopy.
What You’ll Do:
Understand cell and molecular biology to establish cell-based assays and facilitate the identification and characterization of targets that play a role in inflammatory, autoimmune, and fibrotic diseases.
Experience in Flow Cytometry such as:ZE5,iQue,Cytek Aurora,Sony Cell Sorter
Experience in Imaging using:NanoFCM,Lightsheet,Operetta,Oni Nanoimager,LSM Confocal Microscope
Understand molecular biology techniques such as: PCR, DNA sequencing, Immunohistochemistry, PMBC Preps, ELISA, Biochemical assays, Westerns, Protein extractions
Data interpretation & troubleshooting/optimization of predefined methods
Record data in electronic notebooks
Data presentation during regular staff meetings
Participate and assist with new technology onboarding and set up
General lab maintenance
What You'll Need:
Bachelor's Degree in Biology or closely related field
Minimum of one (1) year of molecular biology experienceeither through an industry or academic research position
Experience in data analysis and results interpretation
Candidates need to be self-starters; capable of working independently and directing their own day-to-day workload with minimal supervision
Strong written and oral communications skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Critical thinking and proactive communication and escalation
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of above.
