Asphalt Materials, Inc Cost Analyst in Indianapolis, Indiana
Job Summary:
We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented cost analyst to join our team. The cost analyst plays a pivotal role in supporting our operations system. It requires high analytical skills, attention to detail, and quick learning agility. The ideal candidate will investigate and resolve inventory costissuesand immerse themselves in our operations to gain a comprehensive understanding of the production process. Needs to be able to communicate complex costing information to technical and non-technical users.
Essential Job Functions:
- Perform analyses to investigate data integrity in our operations system
- Understand inventory costs in our operations system and the flow of financial transactions to the financial reporting software (Great Plains)
- Complete and validate month end inventory costs
- Act as the point of contact for end-users to understand system issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and insights on cost drivers
- Review internal controls and identify gaps within the system
- Coordinate with the operations team to control chemical inventory levels across multiple plant sites.
- Responsible for ensuring training documentation of the system is kept up to date.
- Support operations inventory counts and audits
- Manage user access in the operations system
- Deliver on ad-hoc projects as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree (Accounting, Finance, or related field)
- 2 - 4 years of related experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Skills
- Highly Proficient in Excel
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written, oral communication, and analytical skills required
- Power BI knowledge a plus
