Matchbook Learning K-8 Assistant Principal in Indianapolis, Indiana
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Assistant Principal to join our K-8 Charter School team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in education, with a passion for coaching and developing teachers. This role is integral to our mission of enhancing the quality of teaching and positively impacting student outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Provide individualized instructional coaching to a caseload of approximately 12 teachers.
Collaborate with a team of 3 instructional coaches to support and develop teaching practices across the school.
Utilize the Get Better Faster waterfall and RELAY GSE practices and philosophy in coaching sessions.
Conduct regular classroom observations and provide constructive feedback.
Develop and implement professional development sessions and workshops.
Support teachers in setting and achieving professional goals.
Foster a positive and collaborative coaching culture within the school.
Track and analyze data to measure the impact of coaching on teacher performance and student achievement.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Education.
Valid teaching license.
Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience with demonstrable results.
Prior instructional coaching experience preferred.
Knowledge of Get Better Faster waterfall and RELAY GSE practices and philosophy.
RELAY Certification preferred.
Experience working with diverse urban populations preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of educators.
