Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

A manufacturer in northern Indianapolis is searching for Mechanical Assembler candidates on 1st shift. This candidate will be responsible for assembling a variety of finished products utilizing written process procedures, blueprints, and hand/power tools.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble various equipment and sub-assemblies using written procedures, blueprints, and basic hand/power tools.

  • Inspect and test finished products and sub-assemblies.

  • Report material shortages and documentation errors to the supervisor.

Essential Skills

  • Strong mechanical skills

  • Blueprint reading

  • Must own basic hand tools (ratchet, screwdrivers, etc.)

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Mechanical assembly

  • Ability to work from schematics/work instructions

  • Comfortable working at heights

Nice to Have

  • Mechanic Experience

  • Machine Building Experience

  • Machinist Experience

  • Farm Hand Experience

Work Environment

This is a manufacturer of shot-blasting equipment. The candidate cannot be afraid to get dirty. Some of the mechanical assembly can be underneath or on top of a machine. The shop floor is well lit, dirty, and loud as it gets towards the fabrication department.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
