BAE Systems Craft Pipe Welder in Jacksonville, Florida
Job Description
Perform GTAW on CUNI, Stainless Steel, Steel and other various material piping systems on board Marine and Commercial Vessels using Buttweld (with using a backing ring) or Socket Weld fittings.
Works under direct supervision.
Must be knowledgeable in a variety of welding machine(s) usage and settings.
Assist helping other mechanics with different job task when not actively welding.
Accountable for completion of daily work assignments.
Monitors working environment for compliance with safety, quality, environmental and respect in the workplace.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Highschool Diploma/GED or a minimum of 2 years experience in the Marine Industry.
Candidate must be able to perform and pass a restricted GTAW 6G CUNI pipe weld test.
Read and interpret weld symbols or blueprints, schematics, and job specifications.
Able to meet physical requirements of going onboard ships, vessels, barges, transit ladder ways and tanks to perform daily work activities.
Must be able to obtain and maintain DBIDS access
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $39749 - $72197
