Summary This National Guard position is for a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D1957000 and is part of the FL 125th FW, National Guard. Responsibilities As a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (TITLE 32), GS-0346-9, you will review and evaluate all operations, deployment, contingency and exercise plans to ensure mission readiness for the Logistics Readiness Squadron. Analyze exercise and contingency plans to determine required Logistics Readiness Squadron actions in support of mission requirements. Incumbent evaluates all equipment, manning and training requirements to meet deployment and pre-planned tasking. The position is responsible for coordination with other base organizations on applicable plans. This position manages the development of plans for deployments, contingency response, expeditionary support planning, sustainment, and redeployment. Prepare updates and reviews the Logistics Readiness Squadron contingency/ deployment, base support, and related plans. Coordinate plans and annex with Logistics Readiness Squadron managers. Incumbent initiates all changes, modifications, additions and/or deletions to personnel and equipment tasking and assignments through the Logistics Readiness Squadron Commander. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Federal Civil Service "under the authority of 32 U.S.C. 709" and is open to Category 1: All permanent/indefinite (T32 and T5) technicians employed by the agency Category 3: All current military members of the Florida National Guard; and Category 4: All individuals who qualify for membership in the Florida National Guard and are willing to become T32 Dual Status technicians. First consideration will be given to Category 1. PCS: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs, Recruitment or Relocation Incentive MAY be authorized. Authorization for payment of PCS expenses, Recruitment or Relocation Incentive will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard. FLANG BUS Code NG0523: This position is "included" in the bargaining unit and eligible for labor organization representation. The current exclusive representative is The Association of Civilian Technicians, Chapter 86 and the President is Mr. Robert Morgan at rmorgan@actnat.com. MILITARY GRADES: Enlisted; E1 thru E5. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience, education, or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-09 Must have at least one year of specialized experiences at the GS-07 level or the equivalent which provides knowledge and/or experience, education or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Must have experience, education, or training which involved detailed knowledge of organizations and their functions in logistical support (i.e., supply, maintenance, quality assurance, facilities). Experience planning and organizing work assignments.
