Robert Half Software Architect in Jacksonville, Florida

Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Applications Architect, based in Jacksonville, Florida. As an Applications Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical vision of our software projects, designing, creating, and maintaining the overall software system's structure.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop software systems with scalability, maintainability, and security in mind.

• Make high-level design decisions regarding the system's architecture and technical standards.

• Collaborate with various teams (developers, project managers, business analysts) to translate business needs into technical solutions.

• Analyze technical needs and challenges, proposing best practices and solutions.

• Document software functionalities and components.

• Oversee and guide the software development process.

• Present project plans and final products to stakeholders.

• Utilize skills in Database, Configuration Management, Design, Application Architecture, and Application Development to perform tasks effectively.

Requirements • Must possess a strong understanding of database structures and theories

• Adept with configuration management tools and processes

• Proven experience in designing and implementing application architectures

• Proficiency in application development and programming languages

• Able to provide strategic architectural guidance to project teams

• Knowledge of insurance industry standards and regulations

• Demonstrated experience in leading and managing large scale IT projects

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

• High level of initiative and self-motivation

• Strong knowledge of modern IT infrastructure technologies and standards

• Familiarity with software development methodologies and lifecycle management

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
