Position Specific Description
Leaders in this role oversee a team of human resources professionals responsible for HR employee relations workplace investigations. As the HR Operations Manager, HR Investigations, you’ll be responsible for investigating potential compliance and or employee relations violations by conducting and leading internal investigations into complaints, legal issues and compliance violations. This job will consult with leaders across the enterprise on applicable HR programs, policies, and/or employee relations matters. The role requires a strong communicator with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and be influential in his/her recommendations.
Job Specific Responsibilities:
Oversee and lead team of HR professionals that conduct HR investigations, ensures accurate and timely responses to employee concerns and determines expedient recommendations / solutions to ensure fairness and legal compliance
Partner closely with Legal, Corporate Security, Internal Audit, EEO, CRO, and Cybersecurity leadership
Partner with NEU Learning & Development team to provide developmental training and coaching on employee relations techniques, corrective action and documentation, and best practices to mitigate business and company risk while supporting manager enablement
Analyze investigation data to identify trends, provide insights and make recommendations to stakeholders and cross-functional partners to develop scalable solutions, programs and policies
Pro-actively audits processes, practices, systems and documentation to identify weaknesses and opportunity for improvements
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all federal, state, and local laws pertaining to employment and ensures organizational compliance. Provides guidance and counsel on their interpretation and implementation, including but not limited to EEO, ADA, FMLA, and FLSA. Consults with legal counsel as appropriate
Assists Director HR Shared Services with maintaining all HR-related policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with applicable Federal and state laws
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Strong organizational and project management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP and ServiceNow a plus
Excellent problem-solving skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies
Experience conducting, leading, and supervising complex investigations a plus
Experience working in and/or directly with Human Resources
Strong analytical skills and experience with Microsoft Excel (Power BI a plus)

Bachelor’s or Equivalent Experience
Experience: 8+ years

Professional HR Certification (PHR)
