Job Title: Accounts Receivable Manager

Aston Carter is working with a law firm in the Kansas City area seeking to hire an Accounts Receivable Manager with legal collections experience! This is a great opportunity to join one of the largest firms in the area. Our client offers great work/life balance and a hybrid work schedule (3 days in office, 2 days at home).

Job Description:

Seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage all aspects of receivables with a focus on delinquent or at-risk accounts. The ideal candidate will maintain constant communication with clients and billing attorneys regarding the status of work-in-progress and accounts receivable, provide updates, and assist in revenue forecasting to meet monthly goals. The role demands a high level of service, ensuring attorney and client satisfaction while exercising discretion and independent judgment. Responsibilities also include working closely with the billing team to streamline invoicing processes, identifying inventory trends, promoting adherence to policies for positive management results, and reducing accounts receivable write-offs. Additionally, the candidate will develop improved workflow methods for common tasks, build effective cross-functional relationships, and collaborate with the credit and cash applications teams to manage financial risks and ensure accurate postings of client payments.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in business to business collections required

  • Law firm collections experience required

  • Bachelors degree highly preferred

  • Microsoft Excel proficiency
