Job Title: R&D Technician

Job Description

The R&D Technician will work in the laboratory supporting existing products and developing new products. They will also assist in manufacturing operations, quality control, and application laboratories as needed. Key tasks include supporting product development with lab bench work, conducting analytical and application tests, developing new methods, maintaining accurate records, providing regular reports, assisting in scaling up processes, and developing knowledge of testing equipment. The role requires less than 25% travel for overnight stays.

Hard Skills

  • BS degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related science

  • 2 years of lab experience in Ink R&D or Coatings R&D

  • Hands-on formulation experience from idea to commercialization

  • Experience in plastisol, silicone, and/or aqueous chemistry

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The role frequently involves walking and may occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, or hearing. The employee may occasionally need to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
