Northrop Grumman is seeking a System Security Engineer, Top Secret Clearance in support of Distributed Mission Operations Center (DMOC) at the 705th Combat Training Squadron in the USAF. Through the DMOC, warfighters at locations around the globe face realistic threat scenarios to practice tactics and procedures. The DMOC architecture integrates virtual and constructive simulations across various networks to support a synthetic battlespace that model’s weapons and Command, Control, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance. This role will help foster the establishment and maintenance of a world class Software and Digital Technologies organization in Albuquerque, NM.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline with at least 5 years of experience in information security in relation to DoD systems.

  • Three to five (3-5) years of demonstrated experience performing assessments of systems and networks within the network environment or enclave to identify where those systems/networks deviate from acceptable configurations as defined in NIST SP 800-53 in support of system accreditation under RMF

  • Three to five (3-5) years of demonstrated experience conducting comprehensive assessments of the management, operational, and technical security controls and control enhancements employed within or inherited by DoD information technology (IT) systems to determine the overall effectiveness of the controls as defined in NIST SP 800-37

  • Two plus (2+) years of demonstrated experience developing and maintaining Information Assurance (IA) artifacts in support of ongoing system accreditation.

  • Two plus (2+) years of demonstrated experience conducting comprehensive technology research to evaluate potential vulnerabilities in cyberspace systems and provide recommendations for risk mitigation.

  • Shall have upon hire: Minimum Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II certification and able to achieve IAT III certification within 6 months of entrance on duty.

  • Shall have upon hire: Top Secret security clearance with SCI and SAP/SAR eligibility

  • Shall achieve within 6 months of entrance on duty: Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level III certification. The Senior Systems Security Engineer shall maintain certification IAW DoD 8570.01-M continuing education program (CPE) through the Period of Performance of the contract.

Salary Range: $101,900 - $152,900

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
