Actalent Commissioning Engineer in Knoxville, Tennessee
Job Title: Commissioning EngineerJob Description
Manage the execution of pre-commissioning, cold and hot commissioning, and start-up work of Anaerobic Digestion (AD) and Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) Upgrader systems in line with specifications. Coordinate and supervise vendor representatives, including system inspections and proactive claim management. Work in close collaboration with the project manager, supervise plant trial runs and performance tests, and train customer personnel. Ensure compliance with customer contracts and project specifics for plant handover. Manage commissioning documentation and support final report preparations. Execute plant supervision and maintenance tasks for the Warranty and Service Department. Demonstrate leadership in Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ), ensuring all commissioning activities comply with HSEQ standards.
Hard Skills
Experience as a commissioning engineer in continuous industrial process or power plants
Troubleshooting with TIA Portal - Siemens - PLCs, HMIs, SCADA programs
Knowledge in interpreting functional, piping and instrumentation diagrams, electrical schematics
Experience with industrial plant testing procedures
Knowledge of best HSE practices, relevant training certificates
PLC programming (Siemens S7, Rockwell Contrologix)
International experience in a global matrix organization
