Aston Carter Materials Manager in Kohler, Wisconsin

Job Title: Materials ManagerJob Description

The Materials Manager maintains optimum inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries meeting customer requirements. This role involves working with the Accounting Department to establish procedures and supervise the annual physical inventory. The manager is responsible for improving plant material flow of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods. The role also includes overseeing production control planning and scheduling programs to meet sales forecasts and balance manpower and machine requirements. The Materials Manager will oversee purchasing and contracting for materials, supplies, equipment, and services, in addition to managing all inventory items. This role ensures the establishment and maintenance of purchasing practices and policies that promote honest, fair, and ethical relationships with vendors while staying informed on legal matters that affect these policies. Additionally, the manager will keep abreast of market trends that affect company products, develop reporting systems related to materials function, manage shipping and receiving functions, oversee the storage of purchased parts and finished goods, and ensure that standard practices and procedures are followed in connection with all Materials Department functions. The manager is also responsible for the motivation and development of subordinates to optimize their performance and facilitate their personal and professional growth.

This is a fully on-site position in Kohler, Wisconsin.

Work Environment

Onsite, Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:00pm with flexibility. Latest to start work is 8:00am. Manager and analysts report up to the Materials Manager.
