Job Description

Danfoss Climate Solutions is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Operation and PTA to join our team in Kolding, Denmark. In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing operations and production technology activities, ensuring the efficient and effective management of our manufacturing processes.

You will join our Heat Exchangers team of 50+ production workers and multiple direct reports that values innovation, collaboration, and excellence. Job Responsibilities

Provide strong leadership to the operations and PTA teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Mentor and develop team members, promoting professional growth and skill development. Manage team performance, set clear goals, and conduct regular performance evaluations. Ensure effective communication and collaboration across all levels of the organization.

Operational Management:

• Oversee operations, ensuring efficient production and high-quality output.

• Continue to improve and develop our strong safety culture.

• Develop and implement strategies aligned with organizational goals – we drive engineering tomorrow.

• Monitor KPIs and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.

• Drive and develop the operations based on Lean principles.

Production Technology and Automation (PTA):

• Lead the PTA team in implementing advanced manufacturing technologies.

• Work together with global colleges to set the scene for the HEX manufacturing of tomorrow.

• Develop and maintain systematic maintenance, set direction, and execute maintenance plans.

• Make step change in digital transformations – lead the way towards industrial 4.0

Strategic Planning and Budget Management:

• Contribute to strategic plan development and execution.

• Manage budgets and implement cost-saving initiatives.

• Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements.

Furthermore,

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or operations role, with relevant experience in metal, press techniques, measurement, and quality.

• Proven leadership experience

• Experience with lean manufacturing principles is an advantage.

• Fluent in English; proficiency in Danish or a willingness to learn Danish is essential.

• Knowledge of safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality management systems.

• Proficiency in using ERP systems and other relevant software tools.

• Strong mechanical skills and understanding.
