Job Description

Join our team at Danfoss Climate Solutions, where we're on a journey towards greater energy efficiency, developing next-generation products from concept to launch. We're seeking a Senior Project Manager to join a dedicated engineering team building model-based design capabilities in our electronics department in Commercial Compressor.

Location options include Nordborg, DK, Kolding, DK or Flensburg, Germany.

Job Responsibilities

As Senior Project Manager, you will have end-to-end responsibility for projects from early qualification to mass production. Depending on project complexity, you may handle multiple projects simultaneously. For larger projects, you might have one or more technical project managers dedicated to workstreams within your project, and some projects may involve interaction with external parties.

  • Lead project planning, execution, and resource allocation.

  • Manage budgeting, risk assessment, and quality assurance.

  • Ensure stakeholder communication and set project objectives and deliverables.

  • Maintain compliance with industry regulations and standards.

  • Mentor and coach junior project managers.

  • Continuously improve project management processes and collaborate with key stakeholders.

  • Identify and capitalize on business opportunities, monitor project performance, and solve problems at a senior level.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.

You are an excellent communicator with strong verbal and written skills, and you are fluent in English. Danish language skills are an advantage.

To Be Successful, You Need To:

  • Have a proven track record in managing large, complex projects involving hardware, software, and mechanical components.

  • Create visibility of activities and risks while motivating the project team to follow plans and meet deliverables and milestones.

  • Ensure scenario-based planning, timely mitigation, and escalate critical issues impacting project quality, delivery, and cost.

  • Secure buy-in from key stakeholders and align expectations.

  • Be experienced with development methods such as Stage Gate, Agile, and SCRUM, and capable of managing hybrid models like Safe Agile.

  • Possess a technical educational background in engineering, with experience in hardware, software, and mechanical components, and commercial acumen (e.g., HD or similar).
