Robert Half Associate Trader in La Jolla, California

Description We are offering an opportunity for a Stock Administrator in the financial industry, based in La Jolla, California, United States. This role involves monitoring and managing trading activities, maintaining trading software, and executing orders independently. The position requires strong skills in equity trading.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor trading email inbox and respond to emails efficiently.

• Handle advisor calls and work with advisors or support staff in person or via phone.

• Assist in maintaining the trading team task list.

• Input and maintain custom models and sleeves into trading software (Black Diamond Rebalancer).

• Set up accounts and create trading portfolios in BD rebalancer for either Advisor PM or House PM.

• Run and edit trade sessions on House, Advisor, & Custom Models for optimal outcomes.

• Relay advisor bond orders to Schwab and Fidelity as needed.

• Complete daily trade reconciliation.

• Monitor and solve custodial alerts for “House Portfolio Manager” accounts.

• Identify accounts that require raise cash, invest cash, rebalance trades or account setting changes.

• Understand when trading an account or portfolio requires or does not require advisor consent/notification.

• Review and approve other users’ trade sessions for mistakes.

• Assist in maintaining the Tender Date Mutual Fund repurchase calendar.

• Export trade files from BD rebalancer and independently execute orders including block orders at custodian(s).

• Independently solve issues related to uploading and or executing custodian trades.

• Fix and document trade errors should they occur. Requirements

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in Finance

• Proven experience as a Stock Administrator, or similar role, would be advantageous.

• Proficiency in Equity Trading is required.

• Strong understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.

• Solid computer skills and knowledge of common software packages.

• Exceptional organizational skills and aptitude for numbers.

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Reliable and trustworthy.

• Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.

• Must be able to legally work in the location of the job.
