Blue Canyon Technologies Program Manager II in Lafayette, Colorado

Position Purpose: The Program Manager II will provide leadership and supervision in a team environment, with frequent opportunities for customer engagement, new business development, concept design, mission formulation, system analysis, and detailed design, analysis, integration, and test, plus orbit operations.

Pay Range: $100,000 - $175,000

Job Responsibilities:

Program management responsibility for Space hardware missions for Commercial, Defense, Restricted, or NASA satellites. Program execution in all phases of the program life cycle (business development, mission formulation, requirements flow-down, manufacturing, integration and test, and on-orbit operations) System design balancing performance, emerging technologies, schedule, risk, and cost Encourage, council, mentor, and lead program teams thru program evolution, milestones, challenges, and successes. Prepare, present, and manage for successful conclusion major program milestone reviews Manage / perform trade studies balancing cost, schedule and technical requirements and parametric analyses Evaluation of existing and emerging technologies Develop, review and negotiate procurement documents (specification, SOW) and manage subcontracts Work closely with customers to help refine their needs and provide innovative and competitive solutions Support and help evolve the spacecraft and component product line offerings Generate and maintain program integrated master schedule (IMS) Generate and maintain program budgets and forecasts, including financial, technical, and schedule risk and opportunity positions Execute flight programs that meet technical and cost obligations Work closely with other contractors/teammates in meeting customer needs Collaborate closely with technical program leads and diverse domain expertise Ensure all business is conducted using the highest ethical standards and in compliance with all applicable laws, statutes, and regulations as well as company policies and directive Other responsibilities as assigned

Required Qualifications/Education:

At least 5+ years of relevant experience Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Business Management with Engineering background, Computer Science, or related discipline Good documentation and communication skills Strong systems engineering and technical management skills and demonstrated ability to grow new business opportunities and execute demanding flight programs Ability to work rapidly with minimal supervision on projects involving both small and large engineering teams Previous experience and skills in project definition, simulation, implementation, lab integration and test Must be able to work in a highly collab rative, fast-paced environment with emphasis in rapid prototyping and fielding of capabilities Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education
