Job Title: Welder - 1st Shift
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled welder to join our team. Our company is a leader in the design and manufacture of piercing tools, bursting systems, pneumatic hammers, and horizontal directional drill tooling. Our products are used by contractors globally to install or replace fiber, communication, water, sewer, and gas lines with minimal disruption to above-ground landscapes, structures, and traffic flow.
Responsibilities
Perform MIG production welding on mild steel.
Work off blueprints to create products.
Utilize hand and power tools such as hammers and fixture welders.
Complete minor duties outside of welding, including grinding, blasting, and using a band saw.
Essential Skills
1 year of experience in MIG welding.
Experience in welding fabrication.
Proficiency in reading and working off blueprints.
Knowledge of TIG welding.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Welding degree from a technical school.

Work Environment
The facility is clean and organized with high ceilings. There is no AC in the summer, but doors will be open, and Gatorade and ice cream are provided to help keep cool. Training is available on the 2nd shift. The shop has 55-60 employees, divided into 3 different weld groups with 12 bays. The 1st shift runs from 6 am to 3 pm. Currently, 45-50 hours a week is mandated, with overtime available before or after shifts. Steel toe boots, weld helmets, and weld gloves are required attire.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lake Mills, Wisconsin.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
