COMPENSATION: $23hr. (initial 3 month term with potential for extension)

LOCATION(S): Lake Oswego, OR

ENGINEERING INTERN

The Engineering Interns assists engineers by performing tasks and handling routine aspects of engineering assignments within our firm.

Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Provide timely assistance in execution of engineering assignments

  • Assist in the preparation technical reports in support of projects.

  • Complete calculations using engineering formulas and skills and/or utilizes computers to solve problems.

  • Assist in performing quantity take offs and developing opinions of probable cost.

  • Work with CAD Technicians and Engineers in order to complete design details and plan sets.

  • Input and analyzes data from a GIS database.

  • Communicate with client staff and internal design team as directed by senior engineering staff.

REQUIREMENTS

Required Education and/or Experience

  • Must be pursuing bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering

  • Excellent writing and communication skills are essential

  • Experience with CAD and GIS, course work will suffice

Preferred Education and/or Experience

  • Emphasis on environmental/water resources engineering is beneficial

  • Coursework and research experience in water and wastewater supply, distribution, conveyance, treatment, and/or water quality.
