About The Position The Supervisor Fleet Services is responsible for supervising, scheduling, planning, organizing, and evaluating maintenance work performed by Fleet Services employees and/or vendors in a shop or in the field. Such work consists of all levels of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repair of cars, trucks, and construction equipment.

Key responsibilities include: ● Supervise, train, develop and appraise coworkers performing fleet maintenance work including all levels of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repair of cars, trucks, and construction equipment. ● Maintain records of equipment and employees and other duties as assigned. ● Implement Fleet programs and oversee/assign activity of fleet coworkers. ● Administer terms of various labor contracts and vendor related contracts and agreements. ● Provide expertise and service to other work groups with regard to Fleet Services operations.

Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a two-year course or its equivalent in an approved automotive training program (i.e. Ranken Technical Institute, Nashville Auto Diesel) also required. Five or more years of relevant experience required, preferably with three or more years as a Journeyman Automotive Mechanic in an automotive repair facility (i.e. automotive dealership, implement Field, or heavy truck industry). Practical supervisory experience in an automotive repair facility preferred.

In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate: Demonstrated leadership, decision-making, communications, and human relations’ skills required. As a condition of acceptance on this job, candidates who are otherwise qualified will be required to take and pass the appropriate State/Federal driver’s licensing requirements, medical testing, and drug screening.
