We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Lead Carpenter/ Job Foreman to lead our construction team on various projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of carpentry, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate the activities of carpenters and other construction workers on-site. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction contracts to ensure accurate project execution. Utilize tools such as an ohmmeter for electrical work as needed. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and maintain a safe working environment. Manage project timelines and ensure that all work is completed according to specifications. Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to communicate progress and address any issues that arise. Train and mentor junior carpenters in best practices for construction management and carpentry techniques. Conduct regular inspections of work performed to ensure quality standards are met. Skills Proficient in blueprint reading and interpretation. Strong understanding of residential construction contracts and site management. Ability to work with various tools with skills in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and cabinetry Ability to install kitchen and bathrooms from demolition to completion Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
