Description:

Assists the technologist in the delivery or care to patients that are having a CAT scan procedure. Every Monday evening 4:30-9:30pm and every other Saturday and Sunday 9:30am-10pm.

Job Specific Competencies

Assist technologist in delivery of care to patients that are having a CAT scan procedure. Assist technologist by giving patient proper consent form to fill out prior to procedure Seeks guidance from appropriate personnel when unsure of any safety or procedure issues. Appropriately refers problems to technologist or radiologist. Provides technologist with paperwork and chart if applicable. Assists patient on and off the CT table, utilizing proper body mechanics and patient moving devices. Demonstrates knowledge of patient, visitor and colleague safety. Demonstrates knowledge of universal precautions. Verifies that all Medication Reconciliation forms are completed and signed prior to scanning into PACS. Demonstrates ability to use office equipment. Answers the telephone in a courteous and timely manner and relays messages as needed. Applies knowledge of safety and assures safety of patients and visitors. Demonstrates and understands needs of patients. Participates in performance improvement activities to enhance quality of service and customer relations Performs other related duties as assigned.
