Otter Co-Op Wellness Coordinator - FT (Langley) in Langley, British Columbia

Otter Co-op is hiring a full time Wellness Coordinator as we grow our team and products/programs. This position will work out of our Administration office located in Langley, BC.

What you'll do:

Reporting to the Vice President of People & Culture, the Wellness Coordinator is responsible for the timely and consistent administration of the disability management program. This includes early intervention, return to work, duty to accommodate, and transitioning to short and long-term disability. The role involves coordination with the People & Culture team, team members, leaders, external healthcare providers, WorkSafeBC representatives, and benefit vendors to support medical-related absences. The Wellness Coordinator will provide expert coaching and direction on the disability management program and processes, related benefits plans, and support Otter Co-op’s health, wellness, and accommodation programs..

The successful candidate will be responsible for duties such as but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage disability cases, ensuring timely intervention and return to work processes.

  • Administer WorkSafeBC claims and related documentation.

  • Support benefits administration and ensure proper communication and implementation of third-party plans.

  • Provide wellness support, including health and accommodation programs.

  • Perform analysis and reporting on disability and wellness metrics.

  • Contribute to the Team in living the Corporate Values of Integrity, Community and Excellence 

  • To perform other duties as assigned

  • Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Nursing, Human Resources, or related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in disability management.

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.

  • Excellent collaboration and communication abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and within a team.

  • Must be committed to a SAFE working environment.

  • Able to perform physical job duties including lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50lbs.
