Pearl Interactive Network Accounting Specialist (AP) - Remote in Lansing, Michigan
Pearl Interactive Network is recruiting to hire an Accounting Specialist (AP).
The Accounting Specialist contributes daily to the corporate mission and the success of Pearl by completing accounting and administrative duties while collaborating with business development, operations, finance, and human resources teams.

Operating Hours: 8 am – 5 pm EST, Monday - Friday
Preferred Location: Remote, WFH position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable
Research, validate, obtain approval, and process all vendor invoices (including credit cards), employee expense reports, and check requests for timely processing.
Research all vendor statements, pursue inconsistencies and correspond with vendors to collect all outstanding credit balances.
Complete vendor and supplier registration forms, undertake analysis and research, as assigned
Reconcile Credit Card Statements.
Reconcile the accounting system invoices for changes and inaccuracies in accounts, as well as project charge numbers.
Validate and process annual 1099s and periodic W-9 requests from vendors.
Monitor, report, and process Sales Tax and Workers’ Compensation for all required states.
*Cash Management *
Processes weekly AP payments ACH (Automated Clearing House) and/or online payments.
Obtains approval and processes ACH and wire transfer requests.
Routinely reviews bank transactions for capturing in the accounting system.
Accounting
Assist with accounting projects, ad hoc reports, and SOP documentation.
Process journal entries and reconciles GL accounts, as assigned.
Support Payroll Administrator as a backup in processing child support orders, and garnishment orders, maintaining state business registrations, responding to employee inquiries, maintaining the employee directory, and submitting work verification inquiries as needed.
Prepare, organize, and maintain an electronic filing system (SharePoint) in support of the organization.
Prepare various internal reports, documents, and presentations.
Assist management and other departments, as directed, with special projects.
Provide support for audits, as directed.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Associate degree or equivalent years of experience in the accounting field.
Minimum 5 years’ relative accounts payable experience; prefer multi-state government contracting environment or equivalent military experience.
Experience with the MS Office suite, especially Excel, as well as comfort with computer applications in general.
Deltek CostPoint experience is preferred .
Highly skilled at prioritizing, organizing, and keeping attention to detail while handling multiple duties and tasks simultaneously.
Ability to analyze problems using basic mathematical calculations.
Attention to detail, excellent communication, and organizational skills are key in this position.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and actively contribute to a teamwork environment are critical.
