job summary:
Global manufacturer is seeking a Refrigeration Field Service Technician to add to their team in the Lansing, MI area. Paid overtime and excellent benefits, and company vehicle provided for service calls. The ideal candidate will be open to weekly regional travel to install refrigeration and cooling/ electromechanical equipment. Ability to use hand tools, read a tape measure, identify bolt sizes and install metal parts as required. Refrigeration/ cooling experience required. Construction background and fabrication/welding capabilities preferred. Regional travel around 40% and on-call work about once per month. Generous overtime and on-call pay!

responsibilities:
Responsible for the proper and timely installation of electromechanical equipment on dairy farms
Troubleshooting and repair of refrigeration equipment involving compressors and freon
Advise customers on the proper use, operation and maintenance of dairy equipment
Drive a service vehicle, and maintain the vehicle and parts/tools needed to complete the job
Requirements:
Minimum high school degree and strong mathematical aptitude required
Commercial refrigeration/cooling experience required
Experience in construction, welding and fabrication or other skilled trades desired
Ability to use hand tools, read a tape measure, identify bolt sizes and install metal parts as required
Must be open to 40% travel and one week per month on-call - generous compensation for on-call and OT
