Description
Robert Half is partnering with a client in Laplace, LA that is searching for an Accounting Clerk to join their growing team! This role will be responsible for ad hoc accounting functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliations, and assisting with month-end close. This role will report directly to the Controller.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
Process invoices, expense reports, and payment transactions.
Reconcile accounts payable and receivable balances.
Follow up on outstanding invoices and payments.
Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
Identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting principles.
Qualifications:
Associates degree or bachelor's degree preferred
3+ years of accounting experience specifically with accounts receivable and accounts payable
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Proficient in an accounting software
Ability to multitask
Strong communication skills
